Creg's First Blog Post suggests that we will get realistic analysis instead of complete homer arguments:
"Probable wins (6): Tulane, Western Kentucky, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Arkansas State, Mississippi State
Probable losses (3): Clemson, Georgia, LSU
Toss-ups (3): Arkansas, Tennessee, Auburn"

However I think this may even be a little optimistic. I think things will really turn around with Coach Saban, but not right away.
Mississippi State has beaten us two in a row, so I think that should at least be a toss up and as much as it pains us, Auburn beat Clemson in the bowl game (not to mention the unfortunate streak), so I think they are even more of a probable loss for now.
If we win Creg's 6 probables, two of the 6 probable losses/toss-ups, we are looking at 8 and 4. An improvement, but people's expectations are sky high.

We have an upcoming feature with Danny Sheridan. It will be interesting to read his take on the upcoming season.

My first post here guys but, I really think Creg did a good, fair and balanced evaluation of our team and capabilities for this year. I enjoyed reading his article and the major point of "anything" can happen is well received. We were really under-rated at the beginning of our 1992 Championship year, not to say that will happen in 08, but, I think we will see some happy surprises out of this years team as well as a few bloopers.

Looking forward to sharing with ya'll.

Hopefully our opponents will think less of us and we can come out and suprise the whole nation! But it is a process and we will have to be patient...I also liked his analysis, but I really feel like we have a shot at Georgia (of course we have a 'shot' at every game, but you know what I mean)

I am not in agreement with Clemson being a probable loss

Clemson finds ways to lose big games and this is a big, big game

Spiller/Davis are two of the most extremely talented RB combos in the game yet they went dead-flat in several big games last year when teams forced Harper to beat them deep

Tommy Bowden is a good, not great, coach

Very possible Alabama wins this game

I don't know about the rest of you but I am not going to set myself up for disappointment by predicting the season. Right now all I know is we have some great talent but it is young and inexperienced. We don't know if they will be able to help fill the gaps and substain for 4 quarters. If they are able to great if not I can't put the pressure of over expectations on them.
