Most think UGA. I think we may have a real shot!

For me right now, it's the winner of the Georgia/Florida game. However, Tennessee gets Florida at home and plays at Georgia. The Vols could surprise, but I doubt they'll take both those games.

My heart says Georgia. Head says Florida.

But we may have a say in who does win after the smoke clears. We are at least two years away IMO.

Like I said a couple days ago, the Georgia-Florida winner should be there. However, and it pains me to say it, but Tennessee could have a repeat of last year if the front seven surprises some people this year. I really like what Dave Clawson is doing in his first summer at Tennessee (watching Tennessee Under the Lights right now). That quarterback-friendly West Coast type offense he's got going will allow first-year starter Jonathan Crompton to thrive.

Championship game for me is Florida vs. Auburn. We'll just have to let the season play out, though.

I have to say that Georgia seems to have all the marbles in place this year - I look at next year at possible run at SEC championship and 2010 at National - the depth and talent starting in 2010 should be excellent and all phases kicking butt.

There really is too many if's before the season starts by the 3rd or 4th game the teams in the running should be clear.

This may be a hard year to pick the SEC champ. Though it will probably be UGA or UF. Just hope it isn't AU, UT or LSU. Don't count out the Tide.

UGA will lose to Florida... faster defense, more weapons.
