When talking about 2011 prospects in Georgia, you can’t go very long without talking about Gainesville’s AJ Johnson. Johnson is a standout athlete on both sides of the football for the defending state champions, Gainesville High, and he has been already making serious strides early on in his junior campaign. He has garnered a ton of attention from some of the biggest schools in the nation, and after putting the film on him for a while last night I can see why. As a sophomore Johnson was all over the place, and he has all of the tools at his disposal to be a sensational player down the road.

I was able to talk at length with AJ last night, let’s see what he had to say.

We played Chesapeake at home. The the game went great, offense moved the ball consistantly. The defense got the goose egg and we were swarming around the ball. It’s always great when you can get that goose egg. I play both ways WLB of defense and slot receiver and thought I did pretty good. I had two layout blocks, fifteen tackles, a reception for ten yards, and I knocked someone’s helmet off...

Right before the carpool lane starts in Redwood City, traffic started building and didn't get resolved until near Highway 85. So I exited Lawrence Expressway and grabbed dinner to let traffic ease. I'm not really seeing much of an impact or improvement with the signals. "... My commute Tuesday night from Woodside Road to San Antonio Road was better. There were definite slow spots, but at least we kept moving. "... How did your test of traffic on 101 with the metering lights turn out Tuesday night?Vicki L., Erin Callaghan and Steve CastroA Slow. Very slow. The trip from Embarcadero Road south to Brokaw Road took 39 minutes, and it was bumper-to-bumper almost the entire 13 miles. This compares with 42 minutes on Monday, Nov. 2, before the metering lights were turned on, and a snappy 27 minutes on Nov. 9, the first day lights began working. Tuesday was faster with meters on, but not as fast as I hoped.Traffic on Tuesday is almost always heavier than on a Monday, and highway watchers say I should have expected the trip to take at least an extra five minutes from my 27-minute test a week earlier.Meters at Embarcadero and Oregon Expressway weren't much help.
