Bonds receives Labor Day night call from Saban

Tennessee and UCLA were the college football teams in the spotlight Labor Day night, but Alabama head coach Nick Saban made sure Alabama also held a place of prominence — at least in the mind of Chris Bonds, a highly sought-after 6-foot-4, 262-pound defensive lineman out of Northeast High School in Richland, S.C.
Saban called Bonds while he was in route to pick up an order of wings to enjoy while watching the Vols-Bruins game with his brother.
