Alabama continued preparation for Tulane on Tuesday, working in full pads at the outdoor facility. A few notes:

• Junior left tackle Andre Smith remained in a black “no contact” jersey due to a sprained right knee. Smith worked on the exercise bike during the media viewing period. With Smith out, junior offensive lineman Mike Johnson worked at left tackle. Sophomore David Ross worked alongside Johnson at left guard.

• Sophomore wide receiver Earl Alexander was also in a black “no contact” jersey for the second day in a row due to a sprained left ankle. Alexander wore a boot on his left foot, and worked on the exercise bike during the media viewing period.

• Redshirt freshman Demetrius Goode, who had worked at defensive back during fall camp, continued working with the running backs Tuesday. Goode originally committed to the Crimson Tide as a running back.

• Preparation for Tulane continued Tuesday, as some Tide players wore jerseys representing Green Wave players.

Among them: Freshman defensive lineman Damion Square wore No. 97, representing Tulane’s Julian Shives-Sams. Sophomore defensive end Milton Talbert wore No. 96, representing defensive tackle Tony Bryant. Freshman fullback Jeramie Griffin wore No. 35, representing fullback Jordan Stephany.

Freshman running back Ivan Matchett wore No. 32, signifying Tulane’s Andre Anderson. Freshman tight end Brad Smelley wore No. 80, showcasing Justin Kessler. Freshman quarterback Morgan Ogilvie wore No. 2 yet again, representing Kevin Moore.

• Following today’s practice, selected Alabama players are expected to meet with the media. Check back later for updates.
