Top-ranked Alabama jumped back into practice mode Sunday night after a three-day Christmas break.

The squad had a two-hour, full-pads, closed-to-the-media workout inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. The team will practice four more times this week before flying out for California on Friday. There will be regular media viewing periods for the practices on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, while Thursday’s workout will – like Sunday’s practice – be closed to the media.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban and select players will be available to the media following Monday’s workout.

Texas, which also had three days off for the Christmas holiday, broke a day before Alabama did and returned to practice a day before Alabama did – on Saturday.

No. 1 Alabama (13-0) and No. 2 Texas (13-0) will meet in the BCS National Championship Game on Thursday, Jan. 7, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The game, which will start at 7 p.m. Central, will be televised by ABC Sports.
