Yeah, he knows his high-profile teammate -- the one he'd like to play college ball with -- favors the Crimson Tide right now.
Running back Demetrius Hart (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips), however, isn't ready to jump aboard the crimson bandwagon just yet.
"I want to go see it for myself," he told CrimsonConfidential.com Wednesday night.
Hart said he plans to make the trip to Tuscaloosa for one of Alabama's regular spring practices or for its A-Day Game on April 17.
"I talked to Coach (Nick) Saban a couple of weeks ago," the 5-foot-9, 189-pounder said. "He said he wants me to come up."
Alabama already has some ground to make up. Hart, who holds more than 15 offers, said Auburn and Florida are 1-2 in his pecking order right now. He visited Auburn a couple of weekends ago -- the same weekend teammate Ha'sean Clinton-Dix, an ESPNU 150 Watch List safety, paid a visit to Alabama that resulted in his naming Bama his No. 1.
Hart said he was impressed by the Auburn coaches, specifically mentioning offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn.
"I like the offense they run," he said.
He hopes to learn more about Alabama's offense during his upcoming visit so he can compare the two, but his initial opinion based on what he saw on TV last fall is a good one.
